Our Classes

Our classes allow students to do what they love to do…PERFORM!
All classes will have an end of the semester performance.

SHOW CLASSES- Training in Acting, Singing, and Dance that culminates in theatrical productions on stage. These classes allow young performers to learn the essential elements of the performing arts through the context of musical theatre.

·       Show Classes are offered for the beginner/intermediate student and for those students who are ready to study at a more advanced level. Advanced Classes require audition or invitation through previous experience. ·    During the Acting portion of the classes, students learn about characterization, vocalization for the stage, as well as team-work through theatrical games and exercises. ·    During the Singing portion of the classes, students learn about how to correctly use their singing voice for effective performances. ·    The Dance portion includes learning dance for the stage, including jazz and modern styles. In our dance class, the emphasis is on dancing as a group, with energy and commitment to the choreography and an increase in dance vocabulary and ability.SHOW REHEARSALS- The Fall production will be “Give My Regards to Broadway” including scenes from many different Broadway shows. Rehearsal time is set aside on the calendar for younger students and older students. Some scenes may be a combination of both. Rehearsal schedules will be given the second week of class. Auditions for parts will be the first week of class. The goal will be to cast students in scenes that use their skills to the best of their ability and push them to grow to the next level.

ADVANCED PERFORMANCE TEAM  ***BY AUDITION ONLY***  This team of talented young people exists to represent Hub in the community and beyond through performances and competition. Auditions are held before each semester begins. Members must be dedicated, focused and willing to represent the HUB WAY.HUB GLEE SHOW CHOIR - This fun class is based off of the tv show “Glee” and includes appropriate songs with choreography. The Glee Show Choir performs at events and schools when the performance level is ready. In order to have numbers prepared before the end of the semester for performance, this class meets twice a week.

PRIVATE VOICE - For those students (5 yrs through adult) that wish to learn more about the skills involved in vocal performance. Twelve 30 minute lessons include proper singing techniques, breathing techniques, and reading music. Our instructor has a Masters in vocal performance from Texas Tech University. These lessons are appropriate for the beginner to the advanced.

PRIVATE DANCE - For those students wishing to take their dance skill to the next level. Private instruction includes twelve 30 minute lessons. Students may perform at area arts events and compete. These are set up according to yours and the instructors schedule.
